Egghead. - Would Like A Few Words With You Lp or Cd
Egghead. is a pop punk trio known for first-listen hooks, witty lyrics, energetic live shows, and matching shirts. Their world lies somewhere between the subgenres of pop punk and power pop. The New York Times labeled them “nerdcore.” Razorcake said they’re “in the rich history of Stiff Little Fingers, The Dickies, and a suburban-parenting version of Sloppy Seconds.”
Originally recorded in 2009 and now on LP for the first time (in three glorious variants) and newly remastered (by J Powell at Steinhaus – Cliffy Huntington), Egghead. Would Like a Few Words with You is loud and fast enough to tick off the neighbors and catchy and endearing enough that the neighbors will want to come over once they cool down a bit. They can be a bit uptight, but they’re all right once you get to know them, ya know?
Each member of Egghead. is a card-carrying union member. Also, they may be the only punk band in which each member has published a book. Oh, and they happen to feature John Ross Bowie (Big Bang Theory, Speechless, Upright Citizens Brigade, tons of other shows and movies) on vocals and bass. Whoa.
