Ratbones - Spaghettification Lp or Cd

With killer cover art by Riccardo Bucchioni, “Spaghettification” is Ratbones’ way of escaping reality. What is the main inspiration behind it? Pier Fortunato Zanfretta, a Genoese night watchman who, back in ‘78, claimed he got abducted by aliens—one of the craziest UFO cases ever recorded. Some tracks dive into isolation and miscommunication, using his story as a metaphor for feeling totally lost and alienated. Others embrace the sea, tying it to freedom, escape, and the band’s hometown identity.
The album’s also stacked with some rad collaborations:
🔥 “The Sun is Always There” – Co-written with Massi from Chromosomes, featuring a shredding lead guitar by Alex Bounty (Veterans, I Divi di Beverly).
🔥 A fresh take on “S.O.S. Spazio 1999” by the legendary Oliver Onions.
🔥 “October”, with guest vocals from Lucy Ellis (Lucy and The Rats).
🔥 A cover of “Summer ’16” by their longtime pals The Livermores.
🔥 And for the pop-punk diehards—Pat Termite (Beatnik Termites) throws down backing vocals on “You Are The One That I Want”.
Available in a stylish CD digipack (with an 8-page booklet) and on vinyl (3 variants, limited to 100 copies each).
