The Colvins, wonderful sons of that fantastic land known as Sardinia, are back with a stunning new album titled “Nothing To Write Home About”, after a four-year hiatus. We last heard from them with the brilliant “Last Ride Home” EP, now long sold out, which marked the beginning of our collaboration with the four Sardinian rockers.
“NTWHA” features 9 explosive tracks, all catchy and instant sing-alongs, now a trademark of the band. Don’t be misled by the title. While the band’s name is a clear nod to the legendary Dee Dee, their influences also embrace a more modern punk rock sound, successfully bridging the gap between old school and new, between the sacred and the profane, without ever falling into the ordinary. A masterful reinterpretation of a Misfits classic is just one of the highlights that proves this point.
