MESKATH (drums, background vocals) have had their perfect recipe for the leather jacket-Blue Jeans-Chucks- community at the start. Depending on the decade or creed, DIE or THE RICHIES (or even without DIE or THE altogether) are legends of outrageously catchy pop punk with a touch of surfing. The ‘German RAMONES’ released five great albums during their heyday from 1989 to 1996 and surprised about 23 years after WHY LIE? NEED A BEER! 2019 with the brand new movement AUTUMN FALL. After LAST EXIT MUSIC 15 months ago WHY LIE? NEED A BEER gave away a vinyl edition for the first time ever, and now the 90s gems PET SUMMER & the EP I DON`T WANNA KNOW IF YOU`RE LONELY (both released in 1993) join the series of RICHIES reissues. And this one has it all: Pressed on colored double vinyl in a gatefold cover with an extra lyric sheet! Matching the cover picture inspired by the BEACH BOYS, PET SUMMER also features a few surf songs, as well as the band classics HAVE A PARTY TONIGHT and MC SULLELE. On page 4 there is the DON’T WANNA KNOW EP as a bonus incl. the probably biggest RICHIES hit “Elvis” as well as a brilliant cover of the eponymous HÜSKER DÜ song!
